Hi, All: Re the response to the above article: I went online and found that it is reprinted all over the web. Here's what we should all do. Go to Google, and in the subject line, type in: +"Science-Based Medicine" +"Low Dose Naltrexone" +"Bogus or Cutting Edge" The original article is here: http://www.sciencebasedmedicine.org/?p=4997 But you will also see that many, many blogs have either linked to it or reprinted the article. It is important for us to leave comments in response to it. The comments that I read were mostly in agreement with the article. Not good. I plan to leave a comment of my own, linking to my ebook about LDN http://www.honestmedicine.com/2009/09/free-ebook-now-available-for-international-ldn-awareness-week-the-faces-of-low-dose-naltrexone.html I will also write about the fact that I am in the process of writing a book about 4 inexpensive, lifesaving treatments that doctors don't usually prescribe; one of them is LDN. Each of us should write, and leave links to websites that give accurate information about LDN. You are also welcome to link to my ebook, which contains a lot of good information about LDN, including the studies and conferences. It is important that articulate writers get out there and leave comments on blogs where LDN is being attacked. It is wonderful that we are all writing about it in forums, etc., and on Facebook. But we've got to tell the world how great LDN is!! (and it is great -- my 93-year-old mother is now taking it, and she is feeling more energetic than she has in years!!) xoxoxo Schopick www.HonestMedicine.com
Guest guest
Someone dumped this into Spam so I retrieved it. It must have got up someone's nose, . We certainly need to try to counteract it.MargaretFrom: "Angiojs@..." <Angiojs@...>notify-dg-low dose naltrexone ; low dose naltrexone Sent: Fri, May 7, 2010 6:26:08 PMSubject: Re: [low dose naltrexone] Digest Number 6163 In a message dated 2010-05-07 9:13:44 A.M. Guest guest
Unfortunately, this author is part of the Skeptics organization. The only things Skeptics will support are hard science and will tear apart and ridicule any comments that doesn't fit their model. If a statement has a hint of emotion it will be attacked. Most of them fall into the category of fundamentalist science proponents. Their goal is to attack and bring down with arrogance, anything that is not backed up with hard scientific study, including any philosophy, religion or belief in God. They consider themselves to be critical thinkers. This organization is world wide and fervent. Unfortunately, I have had personal experience with a member of this organization, which I will not go into here. Individuals on this site will have to decide how involved one wants to be and if they want to be subjected to the rants that will follow. I do not know if there is any way to reason with them.
