Guest guest
sorry about the caps. brother will finally be home next week after almmost 2 months hospital stay. his trache should be removed before he comes home. we knew he was getting sick and therefor stopped his lldn just in case because of all the drugs i knew they would give him. glad i did because first thing they did was vent him and start with the drugs! now after 8 weeks of antibiotics several infections weeks of being vented and weeks of being trached with alot of congestion hes almost ready to come home for me to get him back up to par once again. problem is hes been off everything for past 2 months i am at wits end trying to figure just how to get him restarted on ldn and his vitamins. usually i do the ldn as he sleeps but seems hes been not sleeping much at all these past months and he looks it to. at home we dont give sleeping aids or pain meds only his adavan as needed and his keppra for seizures. in hospital he is on pain meds and adavan 3 x daily. afaid they may be sending him home addicted too these, should i insist they wean him off the adavan or is adavan ok to take daily like that with the ldn? afraid by him taking daily 3x when he has seizure the adavan might not work as well if i keep him on it. doctor wont even consider probiotics! i said mark is needing these and his thiamine and b12 doc says maybe we can give the vitamins but while in hospital no probiotics or anything else. i hate the fact that i will be gettin him back and hes off everything but the drugs any ideas will be appreciated.he is on the feeding tube and even that they are doing 24 7 instead of the way we do and leave off night feeds. he will be coming home with damanged skin and possibly bed sores!!! so i really need to get these vitamins and ldn started but should i start slow add a few a day and work my way back up to his regular doses.he really needs to build his immune system back up. thanks for all input:) nancy caregiver to brother who is said to have cronic progressive ms
