Hi RaviAm I right in thinking that a neuro endocrine tumour is also known as carcinoid? If so LDN is known to work. They found one in me at the end of the small intestine last June, saying it was small and benign, confirmed in August after a biopsy. I'd started taking LDN 22 April for rheumatoid arthritis. By November when they scanned (2 octreoscans) to see if it had spread, they found no trace of any tumour in my body. The gastro is perplexed but won't consider that the LDN had anything to do with it. I think LDN started shrinking it from the start. If it had not spread he was going to remove it with part of the intestine, if it had spread he was going to medicate but I didn't fancy that any more than you do. As it is, no operation, no nasty med.Beyond that I'm afraid I don't

know enough to say any more.As for a doctor to prescribe it, that would be best but they're not easy to find, nor one that understands LDN. You might also look up Crystal's site at http://www.freewebs.com/crystalangel6267/index.htm as she may have a doctor near to you on her list. However you could go it alone and get it from http://www.alldaychemist.com/ (they're in India as it happens) - just type in "Naltrexone". Many of us get our LDN from them because we can't find a doctor to prescribe it. If you do it this way you get the "full dose" (50mg) tablets that you will have to dilute. The instructions are here: http://www.webspawner.com/users/howtoobtainldn/index.htmlThe only thing to add is that these tablets contain iron oxides that you don't want to ingest. So you don't shake the mixture before each dose. What we do now is

dissolve the tablet as per instructions, then when it's settled, draw

off the liquid with the syringe till you get to the white deposit at

the bottom - it's the iron oxide filler that you don't want. Throw the

deposit away. You should have a slightly milky looking liquid -

Naltrexone dissolves like sugar and once dissolved, doesn't settle out.

You may need to do this again if you see more white deposit settling.

We have a Mr Hicks on the LDN main group to thank for this advice, and

I'm very grateful for it.MargaretFrom: rdsharmamail <ravisharma6nov@...>low dose naltrexone Sent: Thu, April 8, 2010 12:31:58 PMSubject: [low dose naltrexone] Neuro Endocrine tumour

Hi All

I am new to this group, joined yesterday.

I am Ravi, 32/Male/India. 4 months back I am diagnosed for neuro endocrine tumour originating from pancrease and metastatis to liver. My doctor suggested me Sandostatin LAR 30mg but he added that it will not cure but tries to hold the growth of tumour. Infact during intake of sandostatin if tumour size increases then they will have to stop the sandostatin and then further there is no other medicine to give.

I was worried with the medicine side effects too and its cost is also very high and hence I have not taken it yet. As of now I am on some Ancient Indian Ayurvedic alternate treatments and doing well.

2 days back i got to know about LDN on net, since then I am trying to explore the LDN world and also got registerd to this group.

I like to know whether LDN can be given to me, can it cure/help to my neuro endocrine tumour to be shrinked ?

In case it can be given then who (which doctor) can prescribe me. Is there any educated doctor on LDN ? OR my doctor in India can prescribe me. I am also going to talk to my doctor, as he stay little far hence it would take me some time to meet him and he doesn't reply to the mail.

Is anyone has the same disease I have. What type of treatment have taken. Whether LDN works for you ?

Please help me by providing as many information you can, that would help me out thinking/working on LDN for me.

regards,

Ravi
