Guest guest
Hi, Ive had active chrons disease for the past year and a half now and been in and out of hospital for iv prednisolone drips for the inflamation of my large bowel and fluids for dehydration, sometimes having to stay in hospital for 2 to 3 weeks. Ive tried all medications available in ireland anyway like metrotrexate and most recently Humira. I started Humira in october2009 and ive still had relapses so now with it being May 2010 7 months later its obviously not working as again im back on steroids. This is why i started The SCD diet 3 weeks ago. Today i had a hospital appointment with the specialist doctor who treat chrons patients and they decided to put me on a higher dose of humira e.g i have to take it weekly instead of every 2 weeks. My blood test came back as 112 CRP (inflamation levels) my hemoglobin was low and so was my phosphate levels and calcium levels not to mention im only 7 stone and im 26 yrs old. Anyway my local doctor has started me on LDN since 1st May, 5 days ago and i wanna know can anyone please tell me will taking humira effect how LDN works coz my specialist doesn't know anything about LDN or SCD for that matter and that really worries me and is causing me stress as they are trying to get me to have surgery and live with a stoma for the rest of my life. Any help would be really appreciated, Thanks Mark
