Guest guest
> > Hi everybody! Well, hard to believe it's been a year since Betty and I went to Mexico to get our bands but it has! Wow, It has really went by fast! This has been an amazing year for us both. We have talked several times weekly, scheduled our fills together, and have both lost weight pretty consistently with only a few small plateau's. I started this Journey at Almater Hospital weighing in at 200lbs! I was 40 years old and 5'4 " tall. I reached my goal weight of 140 in 8 months and maintained it (within 1-3lbs) until January. I am now below my goal weigh and am 138lbs! I have lost a grand total of 83 inches this past year!!!! I have went from a snug size 18 to a comfortable size 4!! ( I Sound like a Jenni Craig commercial don't I? lol..) Betty started out at 245lbs, 5'7 " tall and she was 38yrs old. She has a goal of 145lbs and is only 25lbs away! She has lost inches 82 inches! She was wearing a snug 18 as well, and is now in a comfortable size 10! We both know she'll get to her goal > with the help of her band ;-). Guest guest
Saturday, May 1, will be my first anniversary and I cannot tell you the difference that this year has made in my life. I went from nearly bed bound with MS to being as close to normal as a person over 60 can be. I was always a bit of an eccentric, so being excited about being normal is a real hoot. I have other good news too, though. During this year, I have gotten a lot of other people to give the LDN a try. My Mom is in total remission with her Crohn's. My friend had several good months on LDN before her doctor told her that it could be a lethal combination with a perfectly compatible drug and she went off of it, resulting in the loss of her ability to walk or drive any longer, sigh. I helped another friend buy it from Mexico (like where we got it) for her brother who suffered from depression, along with psoriasis that kept him from having confidence in public. He now holds a good job and his psoriasis is a thing of the past, along with the depression. One of the neatest, I learned this weekend on our trip to Austin TX. I know that sleep problems are a hassle when first starting, but once that first week or so is past, many of us sleep better than ever. Well, Trixie started taking it for her insomnia. It has seriously helped with that, I am pleased to say. Even more important, Trixie has suffered all of her adult life from cystic acne, and has the facial scars to prove it. After three months, she is free of the cystic acne for the first time in nearly 40 years! I have theories about the improvement in insomnia, but the cystic acne is a new one for me. All of this simply increases my belief that nearly everybody would benefit from a boost to their immune system, especially in the environment and world that we live in today. My husband takes it, just for the sake of it, but for instance, we traveled to Mexico in February and although we typically would come down with something from coming in contact with so many new germs, neither of us had a sniffle, let alone la turista :-) To all who are on the fence about trying it, jump in with both feet. Not one of the people above had a doctor who recommended or approved the LDN. Some of them were actively against it. But in each case, there was a benefit, even when it was something totally unexpected. Give it an honest try, keep a log and let us all know how it goes, OK? Guest guest
Totally agree with all that and I can feel your buzz. Great stuff. My family is reacting in the same way, my mother doing well on it with all sorts of improvement, one sister on it and now the other wants to give it a try for her newly diagnosed neuro dermatitis, or something like that.
