This is the third or forth question about after photo prep. that I've

posted this week. I haven't had a response yet. I really don't mean

to be a whinning.

I'm Sorry if I'm asking the wrong questions. Don't mean to be

redundant.

Hi Rick,

Since I'm only in week 2 of my firt challenge I'm

sorry that I can't be of much help. Someone did

mention there was an article in Muscle Media in Sept.

2000 that gave tips for the photo prep. I went on-line

and that article was not available. My next step was

going to be taking a trip to the library to see if

they have the magazine.

Good luck!

Thank ,

I had the article and lost it. Someone here sent it to me a while

back. I think it was Jen. There was a supplement that they

mentioned taking the last week and I just couldn't remember what it

was.

Hey, good luck with the program!

Thanks,

Hey Rick,

No problem...I'm probably checking this out at the same time! Yes, I'm in

the last week, and pretty excited about finishing my first challenge. Are

you having your after pictures professionally done? I'm thinking of it and

trying to find a good fitness photographer right now. If you are, how have

you gone about your search? (I'm new at this, and I want to make sure I'm

really comfortable with the person, as I'll be posing in a bikini!!!!!)

Thanks! :-)

PS-I also checked out Adair's site, who recommended taking Dandilion

Root every day the week before photos to eliminate excess water underneath

the skin.

I'm not sure if I'll use a photographer or not this time. I know a

good one. I use to work with him when I did Architecture Rendering

in Raleigh. He does Architecture and product art. He sometimes

shoots models who are modeling cloths or some product. He's really

awsome with lighting. I have a nice Nikon, so I may attempt it my

self. I haven't decided yet. I better hury up and make up my mind.

time is near!

Carb cutting/loading is an individual thing. You just have to find out what works best for you, as every body reacts differently.

Are you going to tan? shave?

You can use NWB by EAS or I've used Taraxatone by Cytodyne Technologies for water balance.

Also you can try Glycerol to bring out the cuts and vascularity. ( http://www.neoelite.com/products/neoelite_product.asp )

And if you are serious about winning, use a good professional photographer .

Thanks Cheryl,

Yes, I'm shaving what hair I do have on my body and tanning. I'm

using Taraxatone for the water loss. I may just do the photo

myself. I'm sure I'm not up to winning anything. I fill like I have

already won something. I stepped on the scales last night and I've

dropped 23 lbs. I've lost about 4 inches in my waist, so I feel

pretty good!

Thanks again,

Rick

Subject: Last week

This week I ended up doing 5 bike commutes and lots of stretching. This week was chilly, stormy and very wet. Some mornings were below freezing, and because of the short days, both my morning and evening commute are in the dark. I was tired by the end of the week. Yesterday was the last day of my work week, and it took me a couple of hours to get comfortable again when I got home. I'm mentally and physically exhausted today. I did not add any KB or strength. I physically couldn't. I wore a light rain shell jacket made by Marmot. it's fantastic in summer storms, or on days when it's just windy. I needed something warmer. I wore some light track pants because I didn't think they'd get weighed down by the water, but the wind whipped through them while they were wet, especially when I was standing still on the platform waiting for the next train. Brrrr... Exhausting. I just ordered some nice, warmer gear directly from Marmot through my company. I'm so glad to have fantastic discounts again because this stuff is spendy. In this case I paid 1/3 of retail for this order from Marmot. I hope they ship soon. In the meantime, if this weather continues, I might walk next week because my walking gear is better suited for this weather. I have a long raincoat and waterproof rainboots. I even have a waterproof backpack.

Happy Workouts!

Hi Marla,Thanks! I enjoy it. Riding in the rain makes me feel like a naughty kid.  I'll enjoy it more once I get my new gear. :)I live right across the bay from San Francisco. It doesn't get this cold too often. It doesn't compare with winters in other parts of the country.

Darcy, thanks! That means a lot coming from you! If I could swing a 45 lb KB like you, then I would be amazing. :)On Sun, Dec 13, 2009 at 3:46 PM, Darcy Ledman <exercise.junkie@...> wrote:
