Guest guest
Perla - I know you take LDN in the morning but I think recommmending others do the same should be done with caution. I dont know if you take it for MS but the few trials that have been done, have all been pm dosing. I would hate for a new person to come along and think it`s the norm to take it in the morning and then have it not work for them, which may result in them getting worse or bad mouthing it in general. I think the percentage of people giving up on LDN due to sleep issues is probably very small as most people report better sleep once they get over the initial problems. I know everyone is different but most people resolve their sleep issues in a week or so. I think we all forget that a lot of meds we all take for one thing or another have side effects that we have to get used to. Two of the meds I take gave me horrible dry mouth for weeks but I knew it would pass as my body got used to it. I do take an over the counter sleep aid which is basically benadryl, which not only helps me sleep but eases my allergy issues overnight so I can breath when I wake up! My sleep issues are not caused by LDN but fibromyalgia/arthitis type stuff so I totally understand the importance of getting enough zzz`s. Guest guest
hi perla,i can confirm you that here in italy the short ldn trial they have done on ppms, had several pats.getting ldn in the morning due to sleep problems, and 90%of them had no good results as it was for those getting ldn by night. i know that there are some md (for instance dr.ghiolly in uk)that affirm there are not difference between ldn got by night and by day,but if we consider the ldn pat.story it is clear to understand that most of the failure in simptoms and life quality was conneceted to the moring assumption. hoping it can help you my best emiliano > > Perla - I know you take LDN in the morning but I think recommmending others do the same should be done with caution. Guest guest
I couldn't tolerate the insomnia when taking LDN at night so my doctor advised me to take it in the morning. He has very little experience with patients on LDN so I don't look to him as an expert in this matter. I wonder if LDN is as effective taken in the morning? Will I still receive the benefits? IS there any harm? Can anyone share their experience or articles related to this question. thanks
Guest guest
I had taken LDN for a few months during the day due to my insomnia and what people reported was ok on this website. So with a visit I asked, my Dr said that it would not be effective during the day and I think "dangerous"? I recently asked again because I keep seeing that people post that it is ok to take it during the day. So I asked again at my visit yesterday, and he told me that your Immune system "rebuilds/refreshs" or something to that effect while you are sleeping so if you take it during the day it is useless. Not really sure, just trying to report what my Dr told me! PS If you have sleep issues you really should see a Dr for this! I believe that sleep is the foundation to good health. I have CFIDS and Fibro. I also take meds to get and keep me at sleep at night. taking LDN in the morning Posted by: "Hurkalya@..." Hurkalya@... tajinayat@... Guest guest
and I take it at Midnight. For the first 5 years I worked 12-8am and was taking it upon waking. I still take it at midnight but often don't go to sleep until 4, 5, 6AM I guess everyone has to find out for themselves what works best. The website and Dr. Bihari says 9pm-3am standard time, I don't take it before 10pm, Ever. I usually don't take it past 3am, Ever. My sleep and my food times Vary. Guest guest
I just wanted to share my experience with AM or PM dosing. I also was told you must take it at night. But after many sleepless nights I started taking it in the morning. I took LDN for a couple of months initially in the AM and it continued to work as if I was taking it at night. After my body adjusted to it, I began taking it in the evening again and no more insomnia. It really is a test to see what works best for YOU.
