Guest guest
Hi everyone, Hope you all are doing well! I've been on LDN at 4.5 since May of last year. I've been doing great on it and am very pleased with my results. Last time I wrote, it was because I had noticed not being able to recognize temperature on my right arm - and I was so happy because it was back to normal in 3 days. Now I'm experiencing a little of another previous symptom of mine. Since Sunday I've noticed that I'm a bit light-headed/dizzy. The last relapse I had before starting LDN was a doozy - the vertigo, no balance, arm not responding properly lasted a good 4 or 5 months. So when I recognized that slightly car-sick feeling, I was a little worried. Now it's been 5 days and I am already starting to feel better. I'm not experiencing the nausea from it that I was the first couple days. And the dizziness seems to disappear for hours at a time. I'm very grateful to the LDN because I know how bad it was last time and if the LDN helps keep it to a minimum of slight dizziness, well that's good enough for me. I had the flu or a cold a couple weeks ago - ran a low grade fever for 3 or 4 days. I've read in a couple places that an illness like that can cause a recurrence of old symptoms. Has anyone else experienced that? Thanks for your help!

Guest guest
For what reason are you taking LDN? I have MS and have been taking LDN since March 2005 and not once in that time period have I had a cold. Whether that's due to the LDN or taking vitamins or being a 'germ-a-holic', meaning I stay away from sick people and wash my hands all of the time, I don't know. I have read that if one has MS and they become ill with a cold or the flu this can cause symptoms to increase and possibly bring on an MS exacerbation. Guest guest
Yup taking it for MS. It's the first time I've gotten sick since I started taking it May 2009. And I rarely got colds or the flu before that. But it was a double whammy - my boyfriend got sick (he never gets sick either) and then someone at work was sick too.. so I think it was a really aggressive virus or flu. I heard of quite a few people in town with the same thing. I can't even remember the last time I had a fever - though it was less than 100 degrees. I was more worried about the familiar MS symptoms kicking in, than the getting sick itself. I was miserable and stuffy-headed for a few days, but back to normal within the week. Thankfully, the slight dizziness I originally wrote about hasn't progressed into anything worse and a week later, it's practically gone. The last time I had the dizziness (plus loss of balance and arm not reacting properly) was before LDN and it lasted 4 or 5 months! So once again Thank You LDN! I was just curious whether anyone else had experienced getting a fever and getting an MS flare up shortly after, since I had read that illnesses with a fever can bring it on - since the endorphins you've produced are busy fighting the illness instead of staving off old MS symptoms. My bf's work was responsible for some additional stress, so I'm sure that didn't help any either since stress is my major trigger! > > > > > > > > > Hi everyone, > > > > > > Hope you all are doing well!
