Guest guest
Hey Guys, I've been on LDN for 3 months now and have gotten two urinary tract infections. I normally get them occasionally due to MS but not this frequently. Has anyone experienced more UTIs with LDN? Thanks! Anita
Guest guest
Anita - Have you looked into candida? The LDN may be causing a candida infaction to become more obvious/symtomatic. UTI suggests that to me. Jaxi On Mon, Apr 26, 2010 at 11:23 AM, Anita Meyers <anitabmeyers@...> wrote: > Hey Guys, > I've been on LDN for 3 months now and have gotten two urinary tract > infections. Guest guest
Hi I am perusing this site after a long absence and noticed this post. I have recently gone off LDN temporarily because I have found that I get any viral bug that goes around and it takes a long time to get over it. I have had colds almost every month. I have recently ad lots of tests and I do not have candida or anything like that. I am wondering if the LDN is simply lowering out immune systems so we get these types of things more frequently. Does anyone know? Is a certain dosage better for avoiding this? I was on 3 mg. Thanks Liz > > Hey Guys, > > I've been on LDN for 3 months now and have gotten two urinary tract > > infections. Guest guest
Check yourself for Candida(yeast overgrowth)... http://preview.tinyurl.com/c9eyzx Tests to check 4 candida yeast by Dr. McCandless http://preview.tinyurl.com/cxp6bx Multiple Sclerosis and Yeast http://www.nutritioninstitute.com/Multiple_Sclerosis.html The Official Candida, Yeast & Thrush Forum http://www.candidayeastthrushforum.com/ Candida Yeast Die Off symptoms http://tinyurl.com/yz29bno Q: Dr. JM or anyone- Does LDN cause candida? A: LDN has been noted to aggravate yeast infections and other latent pathogens, viruses, etc. as the immune system is making early adjustments. It is good to have natural yeast remedies on board when LDN is started (grapefruit seed extract, Candex, lauricidin, hi-potency probiotics, etc) to help offset this possibility. (And of course a good dietary regime that does not encourage gut inflammation which is usually the predecessor to pathogen invasion). from Dr. Jaquelyn McCandless -- > > Hi > I am perusing this site after a long absence and noticed this post. Guest guest
I would reccfoment if you get UTI to take ionic or colloidal silver.. Wife not on LDN but had UTI. I told her to spray silver doqwn there and drink 20 PPM ionic at 60cc a day. In none day it wiped outbhe UTI but did it fort three days. It will kill good and bad flora so one has to take a probotic to get the good flora back in the system. Yogurt or acidop pills I have a question. Wife is taking these pills. Anyone know of a reaction to any of these with LDN? or know who to ask? Garlic 2 pills 1500 mg Calcium 1 pill 600 mg + 400 I.U. Of D-3 Vit. Guest guest
Hi Liz, Sounds like the LDN has upset something in you - any possibility you have Lyme Disease or something? Most people on LDN find they don't catch what others are catching. I used to get bad head colds once or twice per year but in the over 6 years I've been on LDN I've only had one and even that only lasted about half as long as usual, plus the typical follow-up cold-sore didn't even reach the blistering stage! Cheers, wliz@... wrote: Hi I am perusing this site after a long absence and noticed this post. Guest guest
Dittos all around. I haven't had a cold or killer anything since being on LDN, 7 years now. I've been exposed and went through 2-3 days of grief, or attempts at blowing up, but I could like Watch the immune system systematically bring me back to homeostasis... 3 times now, since 2003. Something underlying must be there and LDN is trying to FIX it. Maybe you're Interfering with it some how. I find LDN is a good Driver, we don't need to try to Guide it. Sometimes something else may be needed to help, but rarely. Good luck find it out Liz. Guest guest
Hi , Its , because both my husband and I are on LDN and we keep catching colds over and over. We have both gone off the LDN now after recently catching another one so we could both recover! The only thing I can think of is that both of our dosages are below 4.5 He takes 2 mg and I take 3 mg per day. We both have autoimmune issues. I have hashimotos and adrenal e , but I don't have Lyme as fas I know. I have had tons of diagnostic tests... I don't know what is going on. Guest guest
I'm on 3.0 MG since 4/17/2003, 3.0 is fine. 4.5 is preferred, but 3.0 is okay too how long are you on it? 3 weeks? a month? or 6 months? If you're just starting out, read about Hering's Law of Cure. http://www.homeoint.org/cazalet/schmidt/lawofcure.htm [low dose naltrexone] Re: LDN & UTIs Hi ,Its , because both my husband and I are on LDN and we keep catching colds over and over. Guest guest
Hi Liz Have you considered vitamin D3 and zinc for helping with your immune function? LDN is not necessarily a standalone treatment, and many people have vit D insufficiency. Rory >Its , because both my husband and I are on LDN and we keep catching colds over and over.
