I am getting really tired of being given some stupid lecture that

produces nothing from my doctors. I now have a skin infection all

over my body that itches and keeps me up at night. I was told to go

to the tanning bed and to take tepid showers. (Thanks a lot) The

back of my tongue is swelled and I am constantly tired. Does any one

know of a doctor in the Sacramento area that can help me??? Why am I

being ignored? I am not on the diet yet because I am not sure how to

survive without the things on the list and keep my blood sugar levels

up.

Mind you I am not a doc nor a nutritionist, but..... I would think you can

keep your blood levels up by eating small and frequent meals. The plan for

the first few weeks allows nuts other than peanuts, a handful of almonds is

a handful of dense nutrition, a small piece of meat and some veggies, a

boiled egg on an organic rice cake, etc. The sooner you begin the sooner you

will feel better.

These are all signs of candida. Unfortunately, I do not know of any doctors

who treat candida, much less in your area. I doubt that tanning will do

anything for the rash and tepid showers may just make it worse if it is

candida-related. Unfortunately, the only way to get rid of it is through

diet and supplements.

Some people are able to eat fruit on this diet. It's recommended that it is

eaten alone, though. Supposedly, fruit is so acidic that it can help to kill

candida. However, the sugar may feed the carbs you eat it with or something

like that. Anyway, I've been told by several sources that as long as you eat

fruit alone, it is ok. Others will disagree with me and I like 's

advice: stick to what works for your body.

Even if you do the diet half way, it may be better than not at all, though.

looking for a doctor

Hi everyone,

Have you found, or heard of, a good doctor treating candida, leaky

gut and digestive allergies? I live in Boston, US, but would at this

point travel anywhere. I am looking for some supervision,

Dear Sheila,

Welcome to the group, sorry Flatback has hit you, boy it's sure tough to go through all this again. We have a lot of East Coast members, hopefully some will chime in ( a lot of them that have been through surgery work, and don't chime in until the evening), we have a great deal of members who on that coast go to either Dr. Rand in the Boston Area, or Dr. Boachie in New York. We do have members in the PA area and hopefully they will chime in with some ideas for you. I live in the Denver area so am not much of a help in regards to doc's in your area but just wanted to welcome you, and let you know someone will get back to you soon, not everyone reads here every day. I know having all these symptoms and not much answers can be hard, but there are good doc's out there who specialize in this surgery, and help is out there. I'm four years post-op from Revision surgery and doing very well, the key thing in all this is getting to an experienced doc that handles Flatback often. I'm sure our East coast girls will chime in with good info for you, and just ask away we are here to help!

[ ] Looking for a Doctor

I started expriencing muscle stiffness, low back pain, numbness in my left hip and leg, muscle spams, and pevis pain about two years ago. I saw a Scoliosis specialist in the Pittsburgh, Pa. area. He did not offer me much help. I am searching for a doctor specializing in adult scoliosis. Does anyone know of a doctor in my area?Thank you,Sheila
