Guest guest
No way can you take Methadone with LDN!I was on Buprenorphine, another opiate and had been weaning off it. I was down to 0.1mg per day when I decided to try LDN.I went into instant withdrawal and felt terrible, the thing is you have to have ALL traces of opiate out of your system before trying LDN, if you have any opiates still in your system the LDN seems to want to flush it out giving you withdrawal symptoms.I would wait for at least a week after all opiates are out of your body before trying LDNRennyRenny Proudlove
Guest guest
synthetic or not, it works to keep junkies from going through withdrawal and is more addictive than heroin. it's supposed to not provide the high, but junkies will use it if they can get it and they do get high from it. i don't know, but it only makes sense that naltrexone will react with it like with any other opiate.... cause instant withdrawal symptoms if the person is addicted, or otherwise block the methadone's effects. ________________________________ From: low dose naltrexone [mailto:low dose naltrexone ] On Behalf Of tobdncng@... I don't think I have heard it chatted about here. I looked around on-line but it says it is synthetic. Not sure if that makes it different. My friend who just started it, that has a friend with severe chronic pain due to 2 botched back surgeries. She wondered if he could take the methadone with the LDN. Thanks for any input! You guys are the greatest. I might just be able to work someday again. And I would love that more than anything. Here's to possibilities. Guest guest
I believe I saw methadone on the do not use with LDN list. - it is part of the " opiate family " And yes I agree, I have many clients for whom Methadone is their drug of choice, not heroin. It isn't even a make do sort of situation, it is their drug of choice. Well, I actually work with the babies who are born drug addicted and deal with the fall out from that. But that is another topic.
