re: when to expect results

I started taking LDN last Tuesday evening (4/20) for Crohn's disease. I was wondering when I should expect results. I feel like I have been taking a sugar pill. I don't feel worse but I don't feel better either. I have been having some back pain (started Tuesday during the day) and have been taking Advil and Aleve for it. I know people have suggested a change in diet but I believe that those who have been a part of the Penn State clinical trials did not change their diet and still had a success with the drug. I also spoke with my GI doctor and she said that during my recent colonoscopy in March she did look for yeast and did not find any so she didn't think that would be an issue for me. I don't feel any worse, which I think might indicate yeast, but I feel exactly the same. I even bought an over-the-counter sleep aid in case I couldn't sleep

and that has not been a problem either. I don't know if I'm expecting too much too soon but I was really hoping this would work for me.

Some have even said they lost weight on LDN (anti-craving drug) but I don't feel myself less hungry and losing weight has always been a problem for me.

Any help you can provide would be appreciated.

Thanks, Maureen

LDN is almost never a stand-alone treatment. Get yourself a copy of

Elaine Gottschall's Breaking the Vicious Cycle. The Specific

Carbohydrate Diet works for Crohn's, UC, IBS, etc. even without LDN. With

LDN, it can be a virtual miracle.

There's an excellent support group for the SCD at BTVC-SCD, here on

.

Keep in mind that you didn't get sick over night, and that it does take

time to heal.
