Well the ants crawling has been going on for a while with me and I am not even on antibiotics till at least Monday. I know people with Lyme that quit taking antibiotics because it gave them diahrea and wouldn't you know it most are still sick and suffering for years now. I think most everyone gets diahrea in the beginning on oral antibiotics at least. Not sure about IV's since I never did them. I have always thought that diahrea during antibiotics was your body trying to get rid of toxins. A natural laxative occasionally I don't think hurts anyone. It sure makes me feel better. Guest guest
Correction, I mean toxins, not poisons. [ ] Re: Stonybrook Clin. Lab?? MDL I was told by a doctor that MDL's tests are not as sensitive or specific as Igenex, and that it was really not that much better than most labs. But there must be a reason that so many people have touted MDL as a Lyme-sensitive lab. Meanwhile, I also heard that Igenex did a lot of research and development in Lyme testing because the son of the owner of Igenex had late-stage Lyme. So there was a personal interest for making the tests as good as they could be. I thought the personal connection was an interesting one. Guest guest
That is a very interesting observation, our bodies ridding ourselves of the neuro-toxins. Very encouraging. However, if it did, this theory of Dr.'s , that it is re-absorbed, would be invalid. Re: [ ] NEUROTOXIN EXPERIENCES? That's why we take acidopholus. My two cents. Bluesky

I started Mepron last week and felt so sick on it. Waited a few days and tried again. Not even a Herx. The mucous membranes in my entire body were irritated and inflamed. Was dizzy, itchy, breathing-altered, etc, etc. And then the next day I had diahrrea. This was definitely toxins getting out of the body. Now I'm on second day of Malarone. Took it once before for three weeks and didn't notice anything much. Yet one person here tells me how she had big sweats, chills, etc on Malarone. We are all different and it's good to hear everyone's stories. My allergy doctor says he's amazed that I've been able to take any of these abx's I've been on for almost a whole year now. Guest guest
- Dr. Burrascano is the person to consult concerning Lyme --that is a fact. However, the Doctor that found the neurotoxin connection is actually Dr. Ritchie Shoemaker from Pocomoke City, Md. I know this because I was part of his clinical trial of the cholestyramine (?), and the Visual test. This was several years ago, but he actually sent me a kit to test my visual acuity and we corresponded via phone. He is a friend of my cousin and they were talking about Lyme one day and he was talking about his research and she said Hey! I have a cousin who is on IV's because of Lyme and that is how the connection was made. I even made it into his book " DEsperate Medicine " . I am not selling anything, just telling you about my experience. I thought the cholestyramine helped. I went through an incredible herx as a result of the treatment (that is before they added the actos to the protocol). My gosh, I thought I was thrown a year backward! But after the treatment was over, I really did feel very good. I was still on abx and I am sure I have built up more neurotoxins and need to use the protocol again. I am not sure about all the stuff they have on the website because I was not treated that way. I was treated directly by the Doctor and the web was not involved at all. If you are near land, you may want to try to consult with him about the protocol. It would probably be cheaper than a consult with Dr. B. if cost is your primary concern. And you would be consulting with the Dr. that developed the protocol. Again, I am not selling anything. I am just sharing my experience and the results of that experience. This website gives further information on the neurotoxins. http://www.chronicneurotoxins.com/learnmore/lymedisease.cfm Hope this helps. What I'm thinking is this; , IF a person did not have the prescription for the binding agent (called cholestyramine, once again on Dr. Burrascano's site) that removes these toxins, that are otherwise excreted in the bile & RE-absorbed back into our bodies, and cause problems in the future, if it's a good idea to take a natural, laxative. He actually recommends 2 to 4 months of this binding agent. I'm wondering if, I could just take it when I feel this die off occuring. $755.00 for first time appointments w/ this world class lyme disease expert, who is worth every penny, & is waging big wars for us. I'm not complaining, just try to avoid, if at all possible. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > From: Hall > > Sent: Friday, June 27, 2003 7:00 AM > Subject: Re: [ ] Re: Stonybrook Clin.
