I wish I could get my diet this good! I have a lot of slip-ups. :( Too much

fruit and grains.

But you might think about soaking your nuts, seeds and grains a la Weston A

Price Foundation principles. Their whole last issue of their publication was

devoted to plant toxins like phytic acid and how to deal with them- it was very

eye-opening. I think some of the articles are on the website.

No idea if this would help your skin, but I know that following WAPF guidelines

(high animal fats, lots of fermented stuff, plant toxins neutralized as much as

possible) has helped me feel a LOT better overall. I do believe that being

mostly vegetarian and extremely low-fat for so many years, starting in my early

teens, really wrecked my health.

I hope you find some relief soon.

you aren't seeing any real improvements and feel awful.

if any, organic cage-free eggs, chicken, fish, raw nuts and seeds, occassional

piece of cheese, lots and lots of salads, and brown rice and quinoa sometimes.

Use fish oil, take digestive enzymes, and some other herbs and supplements.

dermatomyositis, the autoimmune disease I am plagued with. I have been having

problems with my skin since last fall, much worse in the winter though. Seems

like since I have started taking ldn and ala (10 days ago), my skin is flaring

worse, so i have cut down the ala to every other day (100mg) and continue to

take ldn at 4 mg. Lots of things going on right now if you have read my posts,

hormonal issues playing into this right now too.

treatment, if this will help to minimize the detox reactions I am experiencing.

I like to use Dr. Schulze's cleanses from time-to-time because they really

really do a great house cleaning. Has anyone done this?

else here. I'm just in so much pain right now and very frustrated. When my

skin hurts and it does so much, I feel horrible emotionally, spiritually, and in

every other way. And I guess I am a little impatient too. I have tried many

things over the years and all of it was hard work, but worth it. I am just

hoping that the ldn will be an answer to my prayers.

people who really understand. Everyone else just looks at me with perplexed

unless you've been there, right?

I, too have an autoimmune skin disease that I am plagued with (called pemphigus foliaceus). And, I am following a similar diet that you are - I don't eat chicken as I also follow the "Eat Right for Your (Blood) Type by Dr. D'Adamo. I am a blood type B and according to his book, if you are a B, you should never eat chicken as it has an agglutinating lectin that can cause autoimmune disease - I used to eat chicken every day (until I learned of this book and read it).

I am going to a clinic that tested me for Lyme (it came back positive), also tested me for heavy metals (it came back with over 15 heavy metals in the high range). Also tested positive for Epstein-Barr.

Having said all of that, the clinic provides IV therapy - heavy metal cleanses (they have to do it in very low doses because it will cause me to break out with skin blisters) - IV vitamins, colonics, oxygen, and ozone therapy.

I have to say that I am seeing positive results - it is slow, but I am getting better. I am taking herbs to control the Lyme (I don't know if it gets rid of completely) as well as supplements to control candida yeast - that is another thing that I have. And from what I have read on this ldn blog, you need to have candida under control before ldn works properly.

I am not familiar with Dr. Schulze's cleanse - all I know that I am getting IV heavy metal cleanses and after I do that, I have to get a colonic. Cleanses cannot hurt.

I hope and pray for your recovery - I know that it is hell what you are going through.
