Hi everyone. Im hoping for some input as I got recent blood results and

don't get their message!

Givent hat my GP just wants me to take Methotrexate and wont discuss LDN Im

relying on all your knowledge and helpfulness!

LDN since March 2009, finally settled on 2mg nightly with occasional nights

off when I get too full of it.

Still losin inches, still getting lots of inflammation and when the blockade

is on, in bed it is not pretty. RA sucks! Better than last year though, even

though I'm on 1/2 dose diclofenac to try and control the tightnes and pain

and inflammation. The plague of urinary frequency has largely abated.

Basically my CRP has shot back up from 50ish to 135. IT hasn't ever been

this high .The highest ever for CRP was 128, a year ago and it had been

going down nicely. ESR highest read was 105 and it is now 35, a steady drop

quarter after quarter.

My blood glucose is a little high so Ive just had another fasting test

taken. Haemoglobin is as ever low.

Can anyone throw light on the CRP?ESR dimension. Both are inflammation

markers yes? CRP may be used to reveal infection? I don't have any idea

where. What else is CRP telling me about where to look and the same for ESR>

Can anyone advise?

Thanks a lot as ever.

Re: Blood results especially CRP!

Hi:

I'm new here. Do you have a thyroid problem? Check the Free T3, Free T4,

and TSH to see where you are at.

I've been going through all old posts for this board this last week. Your

daughter has a thyroid problem right?

When my Free Ts are off (I have Graves' Disease and take low dosed

Methimazole) my inflammation is higher.

I'm on LDN for 9 days now for the RA and thyroid problem. No problems yet

at this point.

{{{hugs}}}

Hi Nuala:

Can you repost my message I sent you? Apparently I send it to you directly to

your email box and not to the board. My computer froze and I lost the message I

typed to you on the screen.

Sorry...!
