The UK LDN Petition to no. 10 The big news here is that & Jayne in Wales, met with the Prime Minister, Gordon Brown last Saturday. They found that GB had already been briefed on LDN, and undertook to look into it further. Jayne & also have the support of a number of MPs in bringing the Petition before The House of Commons. The ish LDN Petition The Petition Committee met again on the 2nd March and reviewed the responses they had received. They have agreed to keep the Petition open, and to pursue the matter further. They have written to the ish Government, and to the Dept of Health. The EU Petition Petition Jayne has received a letter from the European Parliament. They confirmed that they had a panel discussion on 27/28 January, and have agreed to ask the European Commission to further research into LDN, and to continue the examination of Low Dose Naltrexone. This Petition is still open. If you have already signed, please ask your family friends and colleagues to also support it. Remember that you can use your email address up to 5 times, as long as it is a different person each time. http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/ldnnow/ NIHR HTA The response from No. 10 pointed to the HTA as being the appropriate body to look into LDN. Barnett had already suggested LDN as a Research Topic via their online system. The HTA panel met on the 19th Jan, and their initial response was negative. A number of people have protested this decision, and the HTA said they would respond to this by 10th March. In the meantime, Celia Danks, Donnelly, Margaret Schooling, Nuala Whiite and myself, have submitted a second suggestion to the HTA in our names. More detail on all of these initiatives can be found at: http://dnausers.d-n-a.net/dnetIogQ/LDN Thank you for your support already, and for anything further that you can do.
