Guest guest
I have finally quit Plaquenil, and was thinking of starting LDN. I have Sjogren's, and my blood count (low white cells and platelets). Does anyone know if LDN could improve blood count? Thanks, Calli
Guest guest
my platelets are low from hep-C as typically happens. i'm trying shark oil for that as it looks like good potential from reading. no labs yet to tell if it worked. white cells are an immune component and LDN might help with that... my guess only. > [low dose naltrexone] LDN effect on blood count? > > I have finally quit Plaquenil, and was thinking of starting LDN. > > I have Sjogren's, and my blood count (low white cells and > platelets). Guest guest
I've had the opposite for nearly 30 years - high platelets, high white cells. Back in 1986 they put me on Busulphan that clobbered everything. About 5 years later the levels started rising again by which time I was in France where Busulphan is banned, thank goodness. Instead they put me on Hydrea, then about 10 years ago, baby aspirin. Things were fairly stable but the hematologist didn't like my red blood cells at 47 and said I might have to go back on Hydrea and have the liver regularly checked.I wanted to stop the aspirin and see what LDN would do. He didn't want me to, but I did it all the same about 8 months ago. Now the red blood cell count is a good average, and so is the platelets. I have to confess when I see the hemotologist again in June.So in my experience it looks as though the LDN is sorting my blood problem out too.MargaretFrom: bob Larson <bobList@...>callimico66 <callimico66@...>; low dose naltrexone Sent: Sun, March 28, 2010 5:38:35 PMSubject: RE: [low dose naltrexone] LDN effect on blood count? my platelets are low from hep-C as typically happens. i'm trying shark oil for that as it looks like good potential from reading. no labs yet to tell if it worked. white cells are an immune component and LDN might help with that... my guess only. > [low dose naltrexone] LDN effect on blood count? > > I have finally quit Plaquenil, and was thinking of starting LDN. > > I have Sjogren's, and my blood count (low white cells and > platelets).
