Guest guest
I have Lyme and usually take no pain medication. But, when the going gets unbearable-like a headache that puts me into bed in a semi conscious condition I take vicodin to take the edge off. Is this going to be someting that I will not be able to do once I start on LDN? Kris
Guest guest
Thats correct - Vicodin and LDN not to be used together.
Guest guest
I have a list of all pain meds not to use but I know there are some pain medications you can use .... I tried to find them on the website but there was nothing mentioned. Does anyone have a list of medications you can t take to reduce pain ? My husband recently started ldn and now has been seeing someone who is working on breaking up scar tissue built up over many years through Grastin method it is very painful and I do not know what to give him to help with the pain. Guest guest
Although I wouldn't reccomend them for long term use - NSAIDs (ibuprofen, naproxen, etc) can be taken with LDN. Asprin and acetomeniphen can as well. Fish oil and turmeric both have antiinflamatory properties, I think ALA does too but cannot swear to that one. DLPA works but from what I have read it is perhaps more effective with chronic pain issues. However, one article I read stated a DLPA taken at the same time as say an ibuprofen resulted in the ibuprofen being more effective. So you might be able to use DLPA (or DPA) to keep the doses of the NSAIDs smaller. It is the prescription pain meds with opiates that do not combine well with LDN. Have you consirdered serrapeptase for scar tissue reduction? Less painful and very effective from what I am reading.
