Guest guest
Hi, I wouldn't think that the LDN would elevate your liver enzymes after only a couple of days - if at all. Chances are that they were already elevated, especially if they were not checked in a year. What are you using LDN to treat? In our Hepatitis group, most people who have elevated enzymes and start LDN usually have a dramatic drop in them, not an increase. And your dosage of 1.5 is extremely low - LDN has been shown to be safe to the liver in doses up to 300 mg. and higher. A year ago, my ALT/AST were 174/105 and are now 34/30 after being on LDN since last March for hepatitis c. "Fatty liver", celiac disease or elevated ferritin levels all can cause liver enzymes to rise, as can other things like certain medications. You should probably get checked for these things if you can. Nola http://nolahepper.blogspot.com/ In a message dated 1/25/2010 8:26:05 A.M. A year ago my liver enzymes were normal.I've seen enough online pointing to the possibility of LDN elevating liver enzymes - but - is this a temporary symptom? I hope so, because I don't want to stop taking LDN - especially since I've just barely started.Any advice?
