Thanks Teri

No side effects to the LDN so far but only 1st day.

I took 2 Aleve this morning at 7 since had joint pain in my

knees & shoulders. I guess it must take several hours or more for LDN

endorphins to kick in.

Later this afternoon my pain felt less but this is normal for

RA, heavier pain in the morning but I usually have to take 2 Aleve every 8

hours. It is now almost 12 hours since I took 2 Aleve and I am holding off taking

since pain is very minor.

I also feel like I have more energy.

My long distance vision seems better all of a sudden. I elected

to do monovision so I didn’t need reading glasses, but my long distance vision

suffered a bit.

Question for the group: Is 1 of the benefits of LDN an increase

in vision?

Pat, I emailed you the other day but I don ‘t think you received

it. I too have had RA for over 25 years, Doctors wanted me to take the harsh

drugs, but I refused most of the time because I didn’t want to suppress my

immune system. LDN makes the most since by modulating your immune. I have tried

some meds but they only did a lot of stomach damage, which took years to heal.

I too did antibiotic therapy by IV’s & also menacing by mouth, then doctor

put me on a nasty antibiotic called Flagyl which did all the stomach damage

& also caused anorexia symptoms. I started taking Immunocal to heal my

stomach, which is much better now, It also helps your body make Glutathione

which is a antioxidant that our body makes on its own, I now take 1 pack of

this a day & have been on it about 1 ½ years. I am on 4.5mg of LDN for

about 8 months & am improving quite a lot. I haven’t had any side effects

with LDN. I believe since I’ve had RA for 25 years that it takes 1 month for

each year you’ve been sick to get better, so I’m looking at about 2 years.

I also take cod liver oil. If I need anything for pain I sometimes take a

Motrin. It’s good that you have early RA & have LDN, I didn’t know of it 25

years ago so you should get better faster & less joint damage, because I

believe it will stop disease from progressing. Since you did antibiotics you

should take probiotics. I take Ultra flora DF in powder form every night. Hope

you can stay at 4.5mg it is the right amount for RA.

I have early RA. My RF and anti CCP test

factors are high but my CRRP <.1 and my sedrate is a 2 so inflammation

factors normal.

I have joint pain being controlled by

cortisone shots and daily Aleve. I went off AP last week which I had been on

for 2 months since didn’t seem to be working.

I took my first dose of LDN at 12 this morning.

No bad dreams or anything for that matter.

Was just wondering how long I may need

to stay on it before noticing some of my joint pain going away.

My family doc said it may take a couple

weeks

What are you taking it for? With many conditions LDN's purpose is to

slow or stop progression, so depending on current rate of progression it may be

a long time before any definitive pattern begins emerging. Symptom

improvement is a bonus not everybody is lucky enough to get.

Does

anyone know on average, how long it takes for someone to see results? Is it 1st

week, 1 month, 3 months, 6 months?

Thanks

Pat
