Guest guest
Hi folks! I'm new to this group - I was diagnosed with rrMS in 2004, although I had had symptoms since at least 2000, if not earlier. Initially I was told it was ME, until they eventually did an MRI scan, then they changed their minds... Anyway, my consultant has just given me the go-ahead to approch my GP to see if he will prescribe LDN for me. There's just one thing I am worried about - I understand that the LDN tablets are sometimes made up with a lactose 'filler' and I am extremely lactose intolerant! Are there a variety of fillers or 'bulking agents' which can be used by pharmacists? Would my GP be able to choose for me? I have never taken any disease-modifying drugs - I have only used amantadine to help with fatigue and dietary and lifestyle changes to improve my symptoms. Will I have to stop taking amantadine at any point? Any advice would be very welcome. Cheers t
Guest guest
, Skip's Pharmacy has several different fillers available, including a lactose-free one. I haven't seen amantadine on a list of contraindicated drugs, but you can call Skip's pharmacy and they can tell you whether there would be any problem with your taking both amantadine and LDN. Their webpage (with contact info) can be found at:http://skipspharmacy.com/?pgname=contactGood luck!!~EileenOn Mar 26, 2010, at 4:47 PM, C wrote: Hi folks!
