Going against Dr.'s advice

I just saw my neuro today. I brought along 3 short (each only 1 paragraph long)

abstracts about LDN results from PubMed – including Dr. Zagon's Nov. 2009 study

results.

My neuro ACTUALLY READ THEM right there in front of me!

Her response was, " It sounds promising. "

I asked her to prescribe LDN for me, and she said no. She said LDN is not an

FDA approved treatment for MS. I said, " but it is FDA approved! " and she said

not for MS.

I said, " but you can prescribe it for compassionate use, " and she said, " No,

compassionate use is for patients who can't afford medications. "

No matter how much I asked, she outright refused to prescribe LDN for me.

So, I'm asking for advice about what kind of negative outcomes I might encounter

from my neuro if I take LDN on my own by getting it without an Rx. Does anyone

have any stories about what their doctors have done once you went against their

" adivice " ?
