Guest guest
Hello all, I'm new to this group. After 6 years of taking thyroid meds and cortef, I had to face facts that something else is seriously wrong with me besides my thyroid and adrenals! I tested positive for EBV and some other viruses. Basically, I feel ill a lot of the time even when I get my thyroid levels in a good range. Or I can't take enough thyroid to feel truly well because my body is so stressed out from all these infections and viruses. At least, that's my theory of it! I meet the formal criteria for CFS and starting going to the Holtorf Clinic in CA. My doc mentioned LDN " might be the trick for me " (he wanted to get my thryoid meds optimized first) and I want to address LDN with him at our next consult in two weeks. My question is whether you can take other immune boosters/immudulators with LDN. I have been taking Transfer Factor for EBV and I also am very interested in Immonovir/Isoprinosine. The reason these interest me is because of research showing that people with CFS have whacked out immune systems -- something about t1 versus t2 activation. Basically, we attack ourselves too much and don't attack viruses! Would it be redunctant to take LDN with Transfer Factor or Isoprinosine or maybe even dangerous? Thank you, Kathleen
