Guest guest
My wonderful partner, Phil, has secondary progressive MS and the last couple of months prior to him starting LDN were very dire indeed. His mobility was all but over. " mobilising " consisted of lurching about from chair, to coffee table, to window sill etc to get around indoors.Wheechair needed outdoors, always. His concentration and memory were shot away, his spasms were ruthless, lengthy and painful, he had chronic fatigue, occasional overwhelming depression, muscle aches, urinary urgency/infrequency, very broken sleep patterns, severe loss of appetite and of course loss of balance, amongst other things. 5 doses x 1.5 mg of LDN later: Phil can walk at least 5 metres unaided (obviously still a little bit wobbly) Can climb the stairs - 13 steps - carrying his laptop. Spasms have decreased to the point where he no longer cries out in pain. Fatigue gone - totally. Appetite increased to the point where I will need to get another job soon just to fund it!! Sleeps through the night, waking only once to eat something (he is having early dinners so LDN taken on empty stomache, therefore hungry by 2am!!) Can crouch down and get back to standing position unaided 3 TIMES IN A ROW.... Urinary urgency/infrequency gone completely. Can I add here, I am very aware that we are lucky to have seen so many improvements this quickly - I also need to say that I am one of the biggest sceptics you could ever come across and will only believe something if there is overwhelming and concrete evidence to back up the theory. There is no way at all I would write the above if I hadn't fully witnessed every single thing myself, but I have. I hope that perhaps if you are considering trying LDN the above may help you decide. (Although I know it does not work for everybody in the same way) If there is anything else I can do to help anybody, I will. I am still very emotional seeing the huge changes in Phil, and have found myself in tears on several occasions when telling friends and colleagues what has happened (whereas he is of the mindset " woo hoo, this is working - lets get on with doing some living " ) It has been a short but overwhelming journey this first week. We are so glad we joined this forum and so glad we tried LDN. Thank you everybody for your support.
