I was just sent a notice from my compounding pharmacist I have had for years:

"Certain members of Congress are proposing a law that would restrict and possibly deny your access to compounded medicines...."

This restriction would apply to bioidentical hormones as well as oral medication.

Ms / Mr ....what you are describing is the usual tactic of the Pharmaceutical industry...they fear the "competition" from anyone or anything that helps people get well ( in this case the compounding pharmacists)... helping people really get well is a significant threat to Big Pharma, because the way the whole gov't supported system is set up, it depends on people getting sick and staying sick, ( so big PHARMA can continue to sell them More and More drugs)..it's as simple as that... stop and think about that, please ....Big Pharma can't begin to thrive without a constant supply of Sick people, and...if there were any movement toward people becoming well, rather than sick, it would be devastating for not only the traditional Medical establishment, but especially for the Pharmaceutical industry...Therefore, to the extent that the Compounding Pharmacists collaborate with Alternative physicians to get people really well ( not just temporarily, or not just comfortable, or not just "stabilized for now"), it's contrary to the interests of Big Pharma--and to the interests of much of the "Traditional" Medical establishment in America. So, they do all possible to put them out of business, or at least keep them weak...( the same treatment that has been given Chiropractors, to Chelation Specialists, and others who "rocked the boat" over the last century in the USA)....i.e. make them look like "Quacks"--get the medical societies to disown them professionally, they buy off their inside "friends" at the FDA, and in Congress' and generally use the incredible power of the federal gov't to eliminate the competition...it's a dirty, dirty business..we Americans should be ashamed! good luck! And good luck to the compounding pharmacists...
