Guest guest
So would LDN be effective for thyroid conditions (either minor to major) otherwise? Guest guest
Well, it's been said here that taking LDN many can take less thyroid meds. I haven't found that to be the case. But I can only seem to take 1.5mg LDN every other day. If our thyroids are sluggish and not functioning optimally, they need to be fed thyroid "food"...that's my opinion. I take Armour and Iodine, and Selenium to knock out the Hashi's antibodies. Guest guest
perhaps you're the exception, maybe if you were on 3 or 4.5 MG you'd have different results, like the 'many' who find they take less thyroid meds once LDN is working well for them. Maybe I'll go higher in a couple months or so but for now gotta stick with 1.5mg every other day. I've tried so many combinations... Guest guest
then you're not getting there, you may have to endure some issues to break up to the Proper Dose how long do you do the 2.5? One muscle/joint pain and that's it, you stop? or are you dealing with the muscle/joint pain for 2-3 weeks and then stopping? 24-48 hours isn't a good test well, you gotta make your own choices and plan [low dose naltrexone] OT on Thyroid, Good Info"LDN List" <low dose naltrexone >, "Very_Low_Dose_Naltrexone" <Very_Low_Dose_Naltrexone >Date: Sunday, March 7, 2010, 11:58 AM I truly believe thyroid issues are un-diagnosed/ mis-diagnosed and mis-treated and will definitely tune in to Coast to Coast radio this Tuesday night. Guest guest
I haven't yet needed to reduce my thyroid meds, but the improvement I have experienced on LDN is phenomenal. I don't even care if I must stay on the thyroid meds, my main concern is that I have energy and interest in living. One thing that has been said by Dr Bihari is that the sooner one starts LDN after diagnosis, the better, and that the longer one has been ill, especially if untreated, there is less response to the LDN. So I'm not holding my breath about the thyroid med reduction, but I've only been taking LDN for 8 weeks. I'm extremely happy with what it's done for me so far and intend to stick with it for the longterm. The pictures of the difference in the Crohn's patient's intestine on this group's webpage is enough to convince me in any case. I'm also on the iodine protocol which for thyroid I would say is imperative, if not for everyone with autoimmune etc. -- >perhaps you're the exception, maybe if you were on 3 or 4.5 MG you'd have >different results, like the 'many' who find they take less thyroid meds >once LDN is working well for them. > > > Re: [low dose naltrexone] OT on Thyroid, Good Info > >So would LDN be effective for thyroid conditions (either minor to major) >otherwise? >Thanks in advance ~~~ There is no way to peace; peace is the way ~~~~ --A.J.
