Guest guest
Marie- I will tell you that I had exactly what you are describing.... I DO attribute it to babesia, tested neg. on Igenex and Bowen but guess what?? I took Malarone (malaria drug that some LLMDs use for babesia) and herxed like crazy!!! Severe night sweats, chest pain (heart worsened), severe shortness of breath.... lasted about 3 wks. then finally subsided. I KNOW IT IS BABESIA. Many, many people are testing neg. for it but have it. I suggest trying Artemesia or artemesinian (www.nutricology.com) to see these products. I AM NOT SELLING THEM. They are herbs used for the tx of babesia. I don't know what it is about the tests for babesia that people are rarely showing a positive these days. I used to test positive for it. sue in nj sue massie, CNHP Nature's Garden of Health

Guest guest
Dear Marie, I too have experienced severe chest pain during the course of my Lyme battle. I went through the entire battery of tests just to be sure that the Lyme did not directly damage my heart, but what ultimately was concluded was that I had a condition called Costacondritis, which is an inflammation of the chest wall. It would hurt when I would breath in and felt like I had a book on my chest at times. It also was painful if I pressed down on the area that hurt. I began to take a natural anti-inflammatory from the company that I get my Chinese Herbs, called Joi, along with other herbal formulas and a change in diet, and it disappeared. I can't take aspirin, Motrin or Advil because I'm an asthmatic and it causes breathing problems, but the Joi doesn't make my asthma worse. I don't know if this is the same problem you are describing, but Costacondritis is extremely common in Lyme patients. Please feel free to e-mail me privately if you want further info. about this. Hope you get well very soon. All my best, Sue Rauch ville, NJ
