I would like to Thank all of you for your quick response to my answer of Joint

pain.

Here is the explanation of Striatonigral Dengeneration one of the 3types of

Multiple Systems Atrophy.

This is a neurological disorder caused by disruption in the connection between 2

brain areas the stratium and the substantia nigra. These 2 areas work together to

enable balance and movement.

Symptoms of this disorder resemble some of Parkinson's disease, including

rigidity, instability, impaired speech, and slow movement, walking with a

gait,choking depression, incontience.

There is no known cure for SND OR MSA but some respond to some of the drugs used

for Parkinsons. I did not get any benefits from any of these drugs. So after

trying all kinds of medications such as Mirapex , requip, and others i just had

bad side effects from the medications such as severe swelling of my feet, hives

from a muscle relaxer, having trouble staying awake.

My Neuroligist asked me if i wanted to be put in the study that he has been

conducting for a year to see if the LDN would help me with my balance. He

said that I would not start to see any improvement for at least 4 months. I am

on 4.5 mg of Naltrexone.

I hope that this has helped you understand what my disease is.

Thank you
