Guest guest
Hi there everyone. I wanted to post this, because I would like to hear from anyone on this list who has had a baby with a condition like arthritis, and to talk a bit about challenges. Awhile ago I posted about menstrual irregularity and LDN. It seems that was not the problem. I am pregnant. At 43 this was the last thing I expected. I started on LDN Jan 2 and likely conceived Jan 14th or a day or two after. It was early in my cylce for me to worry about getting pregnant. My younger boy is just 6, so it is almost 7 years since being pregnant. I am in the process of deciding about this pregnancy. This is very personal for me, and would appreciate anyone with very strong either pro-life views, or views about having babies late in life that you do not respond. I have 2 hurdles, age and disease.(I already have 2 kids) My psoriatic arthritis affects my feet (3 toes one foot 3 metatarsals, and 1 toe other foot., R knee (mild) r hip (mild), R upper back (mild). I can carry 10 lb, but 20lb is difficult, esp down the stairs. I would like to nurse for at least 9 month to a year, so I can take LDN but not celebrex too much during this time. Whrn 2nd baby was 3mo was when PsA started, and that was very difficult, lots of limping, and I carried the baby in a sling limping The age factors in since I do not know What my prognosis is in 10 or 20 years. I have experienced relief with LDN, but maybe it is the pregnancy. I suppose once the nursing stage is over I can go on immunosuppressants if necessary. Originally my husband was against another baby no matter what, now he seems to be on board with deciding together and understands bothe the emotional and practical consideratons. Thanks for any guidance anyone may have to offer. Of course no one else but us can decide. Kinga
Guest guest
Well, well - the thingss life springs on us! All I can say is that there's a woman here in France (MS) who, in her 40s and after starting LDN, married for the 1st time and fell pregnant. She had a healthy pregnancy and a very healthy baby and is very happy. She also has a career. As you say, the improvement you feel could be due to being pregnant, but could, of course, be the LDN too. If so it will go on helping. My thoughts are with you.MargaretFrom: kbarwig <kbarwig@...>low dose naltrexone Sent: Sat, February 13, 2010 7:59:57 AMSubject: [low dose naltrexone] some news Hi there everyone. Guest guest
A few days ago I sent a message in response to someone who finds she is pregnant. It never dawned on me that my response would be read as if I were pregnant - I am 67, nearly 68.I have thanked the people who have privately sent me kind thoughts and congratulations, and explained it's really NOT me who deserves them )Margaret
