Guest guest
Hi LDNers, here are some pretty basic questions I hope somebody can answer. I have been to ldninfo.org. I was able to get LDN to try it. But I don't like the dose. It is 30 2.5mg capsules. It is not time-released. The filler is " inactivated acidophilus " . It cost around 30USD or so. I doubt they will take it back, of course. Most people seem to do something like 1.5mg for 2 weeks, then 3mg for 2 weeks, then 4.5mg, which would be easily achieved with 1.5mg capsules. Is that right? With the 2.5mg capsules, I'm not sure how do do the dosing. Splitting the capsules is difficult to get right. Any ideas? Also, if anybody cares to comment, here are some questions I had. 1) Has anybody with severe ME as defined by Canadian 2003 or Lyme tried it for a long time, such as a year? 2) Is this likely to be good or bad for people with serious hyperalgesia? Will it increase or decrease sensitivity to opioids? e.g. for surgery. I am told it has no effect. 3) When you stop LDN, do you remain better? I am told no. 4) Is the immune improvement good for bacterial and mold infections? One site said that it would not work if you have candida. I have severe mold sensitivity that is not sufficiently controlled by oral terbinafine, Nystatin, and caprylic acid. 5) Could it be bad for you? For example, does not having opioid stimulation during the night cause any problems because the body wanted those for something? 6) How exactly does it affect the immune system? Does it cause B cells and T cells to replicate? Does it cause NK cells to split? 7) Will you be marked as suspect in some way in the USA if you use it, for whatever reason, such as because addicts use it, because it sounds vaguely like opioids, because it's unusual, or because it removes market share from other pharmaceuticals? Thanks. -- Q: How many CDC " scientists " does it take to change a lightbulb? A: " You only think it's dark. " [CDC has denied ME/ " CFS " for 25 years] ========== Retrovirus: http://www.wpinstitute.org/xmrv/index.html
Guest guest
I was misdiagnosed for decades. I was finally properly diagnosed with Lyme disease, Bartonella, Mycoplasma pneumoniae, HHV6, Hypothyroidism, relapsing Mono, and eventually MS. I started on 3mg LDN in late August 2009, and have stayed on 3 mg. It is filled with acidophilus. The LDN is a great adjunct therapy, but it is no match for a complex stealth pathogen....it does not cure Lyme, but it helps. Biggest improvement for me is energy, brain energy, and it possibly helped my relapsing Epstein Barr (Mono)...when I relapse, my number is usually over 1000...this time it is well below 1000. I think it has helped my muscle spasms, too. I have to note that when I went on LDN I was doing very well. I have been on oral antibiotics for 8 years...it was a very LONG journey, and I was disabled for almost two years (walker/wheelchair). I am completely ambulatory and do not limp. I am still challenged with neuropathy of the bladder. I am also a Lyme patient advocate and up until last spring I worked for a Lyme 501c3 for 3 years. I hope sharing my experience will help answer some of your questions. I wish you good health- Hi LDNers, here are some pretty basic questions I hopesomebody can answer.
