, I really want it to work too and some of us on the very low dose group are sharing our "problems" and right now after 4+ months at getting to 2.5mg and experiencing too much muscle/joint pains, I'm off LDN now 3 days and plan to re-start March 1 at the very low dose of .5mg....I was enjoying a lot more success at the very very low dose....and kept wanting to get up to what I was "supposed" to be....many of us are just too sensitive to many meds. joyce

I don't have the nervous/edgy experience.

[low dose naltrexone] Does LDN make anyone nervous/edgy?

I've been on my starting dose of 3 mg for 4 weeks and it seems to make me tense and edgy. I also take 1 night off a week so I don't think build up is an issue. Does this side effect wear off over time? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated b/c I really want to take this medicine!

Zahavi, maybe some of us just are too sensitive for higher doses of LDN. I have been working with my adrenals for some years and I take a liver tonic daily for some years....again one size does not fit all.

Joyce and all

If a person is hypothyroid, then LDN may well be rebalancing the thyroid function. Nervous and edgy can be a sign of hyperthyroidism.

I had to lower my dose of Armour thyroid.

My favorite liver supports are milk thistle, dandelion and red beets. Works for me.
