Apologies to all if this is crossing the line as an off topic conversation, but I do want to share our good news re getting LDN available as front line treatment. Wednesday night we got a call from one of our MPs inviting us to meet the Secretary of State for Wales - Hain. The security checks my partner and I had to go through were unbelievable (similar to going to 10 Downing Street).

Well, it wasn't the Secretary of State for Wales, it was our PRIME MINISTER - Gordon Brown! Whilst I've had the pleasure of standing on the doorsteps of 10 Downing St handing in the LDN petition with Dr Malcolm and n, we actually got time with our Prime Minister to talk about LDN. Our MP had done a great job on briefing him about LDN, he was well aware of our LDNNow campaign and we sat in a room full of leading business people in our local community. He himself having lost a daughter and a son who suffers from CFS understands only too well the battles we're facing. In the group was a breast cancer specialist and was fascinated about LDN and OGF/ALA so we're going to work keep in touch with him.

However, the best news is Gordon (he insisted we call him Gordon and not Prime Minister) is going to really look into LDN and personally get back to us.

We also gained a lot of media exposure - tv, radio as well as press. One reporter's colleague has MS and because of the difficulties he faces, they allow him to work from home and she would love to do a documentary on the LDNNow campaign. Their company is about to buy HTV (ITV TV channel in the UK). Dr Steele MBE, LDNNow's ambassador is with ITV so who knows what journey we're on here but I'm going to enjoy every minute of it.

It's been a great day and a wonderful surprise so thank you to our MP for arranging this. Now we're getting the attention LDN deserves and thanks to all in this group for helping me on our way. Just hope I'm still alive this time next week - lol!

Dr Steele MBE, talking about LDN

LDNNow, a patient and friend led organisation (so not a charity) with no funding and no affiliation to any company or organisation, but rather a group of concerned individuals focussed on improving the health of those who suffer from the many diseases and conditions that LDN treats.
