In response, I utilised Avonex followed by Betaferon for 10 years. Betaferon in New Zealand costs $2300 NZ dollars per month (approx $2000 US per month). To most people this is unaffordable, unless sponsored by a medical plan.

In saying so, I was loathe to use LDN, as I am from the medical profession and most people who suffer from MS are well aware of the consequences of a relapse and therefore do not want to use a product that is not medically tested, proven and accepted. This results in many MS sufferers not reaping the reward of LDN as I now do.

LDN is available at commercially acceptable price, which in most countries would be accepted by the medical board as a fully subsidised medicine for MS. This product is not a product that is likely to see an increase, unlike Betaferon and Avonex who have a monolopy by Bayer Pharmaceuticals for the exclusive treatment of MS. LDN has already been introduced worldwide as a successful product for assisting drug adicts for amphetamine addictions as well as alchoholics with withdrawal symptoms.

The product has therefore already established it's price on the open market and the probability of change would be unlikely. In my opinion, it would be selfish for MS sufferers to not promote this product.
