Guest guest
Well Debbie, certainly NOT being an expert on this but when I started on LDN, I started at .5mg stayed there for a couple weeks, went up to 1mg stayed there, then 1.5mg and now close to 4 months on 2mg. I had set backs like constipation issues and sleep issues. I still take my 2mg at 9AM as my sleep is too precious to be messed up at night. I'm sleeping real good and feel I'm getting benefits of LDN. Our weather has been colder and damp and my joints and muscles are hurting more, so I don't know if it's the LDN or the weather. One side effect of Naltrexone is joint and muscle pain. For me, it's been pretty tricky. I'm even taking a 2 day break today and tomorrow. I'll be back to 2mg on Tuesday. I also take Armour thyroid 3 grains per day and deal with Hashi's...but doing well there. Your weight is light so that could be something to consider. [low dose naltrexone] Initial Dosing for LDN with Thyroid disease I have been gathering information about LDN to present to my doctor as an option for treating my Grave's thyroid disease. I have drafted a letter to give to my dcotor with an article from Elainre on the Benefits of LDN on Autoimmune Diseases. I have a couple questions for anyone who can help me:1. Is there an article from a medical journal that outlines LDN use for autoimmne diseases that anyone could suggest giving to my doctor? I have searched the Clinical Journal of Endocrinology and Metabolism (and related journals) and didn't really find anything that specifically discussed this (but I may have missed it).2. Should my doctor decide to prescribe it for me, I anticipate she will ask me what dose I want to start on? I have heard some people say 1.5, 2.0 and 3.0. I weigh just 127 lbs and know dosing is specific to weight as well as the condition being treated. Can anyone offer a suggestion?I am droppping of my latter tomorrow morning so ANY suggestion today would be awesome! Thank you in advance.Blessings,Debbie No virus found in this incoming message.Checked by AVG - www.avg.com Version: 9.0.733 / Virus Database: 271.1.1/2673 - Release Date: 02/06/10 23:22:
Guest guest
I printed the LDN Homepage (in color) for my family doctor. Ten days later he agreed to write a script for me. The daily dose recommended is 4.5 mg. I, and many others, use Skipp's Pharmacy in Florida. Questions about dosage in your case can be answered by Dr. Skipp...he's very helpful. dab427 wrote: > I have been gathering information about LDN to present to my doctor as > an option for treating my Grave's thyroid disease.
