My late son had significant gran mal seizure activity not controlled well by pharmaceuticals, This is what led me to Dr. McCandless and low dose Naltrexone in the first place. Sometimes seizures have a component in food allergies and sensitivities. With this known then low dose Naltrexone may be helpful.

The diet you refer to is called The Ketogenic Diet and is basically a high fat, very controlled diet and should be undertaken with medical supervision.
