LDN and Hashimoto's Thyroid Disease

Hi Folks -

I tried LDN for approx. 2 months to see if it would have an effect on the

thyroid antibodies in hashimoto's.

I did 1.5mg the first week, 3mg. the second, and then 4.5 the following six

weeks, all taken at night before bed (roughly 11PM-1AM).

No effect on antibodies whatsoever. Liver enzymes were not elevated, so at least

it was not causing problems there. I think a stomach ulcer I have from a course

of steroids improved a little more than usual, but it's hard to tell

objectively.

The doctor who prescribed LDN for me left the area around the time I started, so

it would be really difficult for me to get more, unless I could order it on the

web somewhere without an Rx.

I also have CFS and related problems, which can take up a lot of money for

supplements. I'm just wondering if anyone thinks it's worth continuing for a

little while longer, or whether I should just accept that if it didn't help

after six weeks, it's probably not going to help, and move on, saving my money

for things that might have more of an impact in other areas.

thanks
