I have ulcerative colitis, allergys, asthma , celiac & a muscle pain syndrome most likely caused by remicade (for colitis). I have had great relief from my muscle pain and extreme stiffness with LDN. I am having spasms in the late evening in my feet & legs just in the last 2 weeks. I took 3 mg the first 3 weeks & 4.5 the last 5 weeks. I was in the bed 12 hours or more , took 60 mg oxicodne a day before LDN. I am working on concrete floors 12 hours a day , 5 days a week & doing pretty well except some stiffness & these awful foot & leg spasms. Any suggestions? Colitis better but not OK. Allergies gone, asthma OK, I taking flexarill at night . DebbieSent from my iPhoneOn Feb 21, 2010, at 5:49 PM, "ahicks51" <osp001@...> wrote:

No idea about LDN, but magnesium (as magnesium malate, from 1250 to 2000 mg/day) may help. As magnesium is a divalent cation- same as calcium- it's a natural calcium channel blocker of sorts, as it competes for the same site. As a result, some people who add magnesium in this form find it lowers their blood pressure. Other forms of magnesium (magnesium oxide and magnesium sulfate) also work, but they may cause undesirable gastrointestinal effects. The malate salt is well-tolerated.
