what time should I take LDN

Dr. Bihari's protocol is to take LDN between the hours of 9pm and 3am every

night. The reason it is taken during those times is so LDN is in your system for

the 2-4am endorphin blockade. Take LDN sooner or later and you will miss this

important time period. It doesn't matter if you are in bed or not when you take

LDN. This is how the story goes anyway.

There are some who say LDN can be taken at any hour of the day or night. I have

tried that and it doesn't work for me. I take 4.5mgs at 10pm every night.

go to bed. I usually go to bed around 8pm and get up around 3:30 or 4 am. I have

read somewhere recently that you shouldn't take LDN until after 10 pm daylight

savings time., due to you get the best endorphine time between 2 to 4 am.  Does

that change if you go to bed earlier likeI do?  I want to be sure that I am

using the LDN for the maximum benefits. thanks

How can time of day influence one's body? Now, if one says during sleep certain chemical processes take place that enhance the effectiveness of LDN, I can sort of buy it. But, to say our bodies have an endorphin blockade at a specific time, smacks of quackery.

Circadian rhythms and getting optimum benefit from certain drugs has more to do with proper sleep patterns than literal time of day.

"Working at night leads to sleep loss, which causes circadian rhythm disruption. The circadian rhythm, otherwise known as the "body clock," coordinates the metabolic demands of our daily wake/sleep cycle. When we are in the wake phase, we metabolize food faster to provide our bodies with energy in the form of calories. In the sleep phase, our digestive tract slows down, body temperature drops and mental alertness decreases."
