Guest guest
I think we probably all do somewhat. Our poor bodies are fighting for hard to win the battle that is so much stronger that us and it is tiring. Don't worry you are not alone. [ ] grumpy, irritable and downright mean I started abx 10 days ago. I don't feel quite as bad physically as a few days ago, but I am very irritable and snappy. This illness has made me more this way, but has anyone else experienced a change in personality when first on antibiodics. I am very impatient and snappy. Guest guest
Kell, I was on 56 days IVs, twice & I was very irritable, snappy. My husband & I never used to argue & I would see him a few minutes before he left for work & always found something to b--tch about! After I was done the antibiotics, there was such a noticeable change. The nurses where I go & others I knew (who were on meds), all said the same thing, so the antibitoics definitely contribute/cause the irritability. I expalined & apologized to my family, but I still felt badly. Hope it gets better! Jeannie pine108kell wrote:I started abx 10 days ago. Guest guest
Holly, I have tried so much, Rx & supplements from Alternative doc & Psychiatrist you can't even begin to imagine! & still trying! Nothing agrees with me & Paxil was awful for me. Thanks for trying-I am glad it is helping you! Guest guest
jeannie i don't take any meds at all - just vitamins, etc. i have seizures, memory loss, speech slurring, and other neurological symptoms. sometimes my brain goes numb and it feels like i am going crazy. i get incredibly depressed, also - sometimes really incredibly depressed. i am still working because i just don't want to go on disability yet - my income would drop more than i can handle. an mri they did on me showed inflammation of the brain and dead tissue. all this just to say i can feel for you with the depression - sometimes i want to jump off a cliff! but it helps me to say to myself over and over that it's just the lyme - it has no basis in reality - it's just the disease. this may not help you at all, but it helps me some. sue ellen __________________________________________________
Guest guest
I took Paxil (20 mg) when I first got sick because I was having some major depression. Then that seemed to wane and I didn't feel I really needed it, but continued a very low dose (10 mg). For whatever reason, this Rocephin is hitting me hard on the mental side. Wake up and can't go back to sleep either. Kell I started abx 10 days ago. Guest guest
I take 40mg of paxil a day and it works great maybe you should try it again. It also helps with the anxiety about the illness and life in general. Just a thought. Let me know how it works out holly [ ] Re: grumpy, irritable and downright mean I took Paxil (20 mg) when I first got sick because I was having some major depression.
