3 Month Progress Report

Hi all, I really thought by now I be feeling better and better on LDN. I started dosing very low .5mg, went up gradually over the months, had horrible constipation at different points, backed down on dosing, got to 1.5mg at one point and after 3 days on that dose, was kept awake most of that night. I need my sleep.

Bumped up my magnesium daily and eat more fiber than ever, just ate a huge salad for breakfast. I've had chronic constipation all my life. I know when one looks at Naltrexone side effects, constipation is right up there. And yes I drink more and more water than ever.

I'm challenged with FM (milder than many), OA and AS (very stiff lower back for 50some years). I'm 71.

I take a lot of supps including Vit D3, Grapeseed Extract, Armour thyroid, adrenal support, and many more.

When I take LDN straight for say 7 days or so I begin to feel worse. In the very beginning on the .5mg I felt great, I've never gotten that feeling again.

My positives while being on LDN are: the rheumatic aches on my arms have disappated. The index trigger finger on my left hand disappeared. I had more energy for a while and now I'm beginning to wonder. I sleep very good and constant dreaming. Many mornings I can keep sleeping and go on dreaming but push myself to get out of bed after 10 hrs of sleep or so.

Right now I'm taking 1mg every 2-3 rd day. My enthusiasm is not what it was in the beginning. I don't know what to think anymore. Perhaps I'm one who can't tolerate higher doses of LDN.

My lower back stiffness is my worst issue and knee and pelvic problems are still with me. I found a new exercise program and one exercise is a Supine Groin Stretch and this helps and I do it every day. We shall see but this is my 3 month report. Thanks all. joyce

Oh BTW: I still take my very low dose at 9am. Night dosing in the beginning was horrible on my sleep and I'm afraid to try again. I need my good night's sleep.

Does LDN work for Everyone??????
