I tried d-phen for a few months but didn’t

notice it help my pain levels at all – mind you nothing did and even now,

even though I have some improvement in energy etc. I still get plenty of paon

and stiffness particularly at night when it seems the opiate receptors are

blocked.

Hi,

I have the book and tried assiduously to

follow it for some weeks last year, but the effects were pretty hortrendpus and

I ended up much worse. I think I now know that my physical state is very sensitive

to any manipulation and have found out the hard way that I have to be

incredibly gentle with myself(a life learning for me too). The egoscu method is

I think deep and powerful even though it talks of how gentle it is.

Thanks for the reference .

My pain is I believe directly related to

those joints affected by the RA and when I take my LDN it is these joints that

really object due I think to the opiate receptors being temporarily blocked. Hope

that makes sense.

Im going to try the magnesium route again

only using calm or some such.

Thanks

Nuala, in combo with all I take and the LDN I'm now

doing 2 specific exercises thru the Egoscue Method. There is a book put

out by them called Pain

Free and you can find it thru Amazon and there

are used copies for cheap. My gf has been doing this method for probably

10 yrs and I'm telling you the 2 simple exercises I do daily now are making a

great change in my lower back, hip, pelvic areas. On the Amazon

site for this book, there are over 200 customer reviews on this method.

Nuala, have you

tried Capsaicin cream? I have found this most beneficial for my arthritis

(OA), but is used for RA and neuropathic pain. Here’s the link for

more info if you’re interest http://altmedicine.about.com/od/completeazindex/a/capsaicin_cream.htm

That is because for pain you do not want

DLPA which is more for mood regulation. What you do want is

D-Phenylalanine for pain.

I tolerate D-Phenylalanine but not DLPA.

I would have loved to try it, but I've had a higher BP in the last 10 yrs or so, and that's not recommended if one has higher BP.

[low dose naltrexone] DL-Phenylalanine and LDN

I was reading through the Book "Up a Creek with a Paddle" about LDN and read a blurb about DL-Phenylalanine being a value added supplement to take with LDN. DL-Phenylalanine supposedly helps to lengthen/extend the effects of the daily release of endorphins produced by LDN use. You can get the DL-Phenylalanine supplement very cheap on Amazon. I was wondering if anyone out there has tried this and has an opinion as to whether it is beneficial or not.

Chocolate can be killer for people with MS

I know it is for me. LDN has helped some, but chocolate is too overpowering for me to handle.

I try it every so often to confirm it's still BAD

Hi Nuala,

Yes it does burn and you have to be careful, however you have to

use it 3-4 times a day in order for it to work. Hope this helps.
