Hey, everyone! I'm hoping to learn a bit, as I know almost nothing

about Lyme. A couple weeks ago, my dad was diagnosed with Lyme and

showed me the bullseye mark on his side. That's how I knew, this past

Tuesday at 4 am, that I had Lyme- I saw the same mark on my left

abdomen, but smaller. Monday, I drove home from work (at a day camp)

with a pounding headache and pain right below my breasts- it felt

like convulsions in that one area. That night I couldn't sleep well.

I kept waking up, and once or twice when I woke, I ached all over.

The previous few days I'd been tired, but I assumed I wasn't sleeping

enough. I don't know when I was bit, as I hadn't found a tick on me.

Tuesday I saw the doctor who confirmed it and put me on Doxycycline.

100mg twice a day for 28 days. He considers himself an " expert on

Lyme " because my county (Dutchess County, NY) is known for having

tons of cases each year, and he's seen plenty of cases. I know we

caught mine earlier than dad caught his, but I'm still very worried,

due to my lack of knowledge. Is Lyme curable, or is Doxy just a

treatment? What else can expect from this? Anything else you can

add/suggest? I've taken Tuesday-Thursday off, but I'm returning to

work Friday. My plans are to try to take it as easy as possible and

see how it goes. (If I get tired, at least I have the weekend off.) I

won't be checking my email until after 5:30 EST, but I hope to have

lots of helpful replies. Thanks in advance!
