Guest guest
I'm new here, so please bear with me. I guess I'm mystified by people who advise lowering the LDN if one's thyroid symptoms go hyper. I thought the whole idea was that one could lower one's intake of thyroid hormone if the LDN improved matters. And, that the whole idea with LDN is dose it and keep it dosed. I'm also puzzled by the huge range of much tinier doses than the ldn.org website asserts is correct, and people taking it all different times of the day. Someone said they had one sleepless night and felt bad about it. The website says clearly that if you are still having sleep problems after one week, then to do something about it (I can't remember the suggestion). Bihari emphasizes over and over again that any sleeplessness is generally transient and shouldn't make someone stop the LDN after one night. Are all these tinkerings from the basic protocol for good reason, or is it just the human tendency to think we can always improve on something? I'm more with the ideas of simplification and if it ain't broke, don't fix it. As a report, I've now taken the LDN 17 days. My partner and I have had a series of financial reversals and I've been feeling depressed on top of my physical health concerns, and have been waking up and bursting into tears several days a week. From day 1 on 1.5mg (because of Hashi's) I knew my mental state was improved by how I felt on awakening, and now I'm on day 4 of 3mg and I woke up this morning having an epiphany about my bruxism so it can improve, and I experince my jaw differently as a result, intriguing and reassuring to find an effective " me " again. But in addition to that, I'm having far less fibromyalgia pain and being able to work long hours (I freelance at home) without so much fatigue and struggle. So there's no question for me that LDN is doing good works, even in these early days. I'm grateful. best wishes, -- ~~~ There is no way to peace; peace is the way ~~~~ --A.J. Guest guest
In my 3 months on LDN, I am finding one dose does not fit all. By now, I thought I'd be up to maybe 3mg, but here I am on 1mg every 2-3 days. I've had side effects on higher and continual dosing, so I'm learning what my body can handle. Overall I have less FM pain and more energy thru the day. And sleeping good thru the night. Although last night I was awake quite a bit from 1:30am on. Oh well.
