Stanford just finished a second trial, but it won't be published until later this year. I've heard the results were promising however.

I've been taking LDN for nearly a year for my fibromyalgia and I am doing at least 80-85% better than I was a year ago. I no longer have to take any pain drugs or anti-depressants plus I've cut my RX for Restless Legs 75%. I was getting my LDN compounded at 4.5 mg, but recently decided to try the 50 mg. tablets dissolved in liquid and then measured out at 4.5 mg. It works just as well either way but I'd have to say the compounded LDN is much more convenient. You can get a prescription from your doctor or if your doctor refuses there is an online source.

As for the long-term use of LDN, I understand there are people that are still using it after 10 to 25 years.

Does anyone know if there are any more studies on low dose naltrexonefor fibro. pain and fatigue? Only one small study was done in 2008?If you are taking this drug for fibro. please let me know what your results areand what you have to do to get the low dose. I have seen some postsstating that they have to make/compound the lower dose themselves?I'm wondering what the long term effects of temporarily shutting downyour endorphins are which is what I think this med. does?
