Guest guest
Hi , Thanks. I think I will start taking the other Buhner herbs. I have 10 days to go on Rocephin, so I may just give it a shot. I was only worried about the heparin flushes but they're not the same thing as actually taking blood thinners. This way I can just continue ther herbs afterward. How do you deal with this mentally? I find at times I have hope and feel like I can tackle this and get better; other times, I feel like I will never be the same again as I once was. How long were you on the IV? They've got me on these peripheral lines -- doc ordered it that way to avoid infection or blood clots -- it's very hard, I have to have the line changed every 5-7 days so I'm getting stuck with needles a lot. Just pours more salt into the wound, so to speak. Thanks, Kate [ ] Herbs and/or antibiotics I disagree with the contention that long term antibiotic use destroys the immune system. I have been treated with many antibiotics over the past four years, both oral and IV. My immune system was in such a bad state that without the antibiotics, I could have never managed to come back from Lyme and the four co-infections I had. I have had no colds and only one virus in all of this time so as long as your doctor is supplementing your immune system with the proper supplementation, there is a decent chance that you will eventually be fine. I am also using Buhner's protocol along with some other herbs my doctor uses and for me, neither is a panacea. However I have come along way and I could have never come this far without the antibiotics. Just another perspective.
