Hello all,

My 11 yr old daughter just started the protocol  March 5. So far so good. We

just saw her LLMD yesterday who wants to start her on Tindamax, 2 doses, 2

consecutive days/week indefinitely. She's currently on zithromax and rifampin

(has been on various ab's x 1 year). The doctor said they just recently

discovered that tindamax is able to reach cyst formed borrelia that has been

driven deep into tissues by other ab's such as plaquenil.

I chose the Buhner protocol because of it's flexibility regarding ab's. Anyboby

have experience with Buhner protocol and tindamax? (or other ab's). She's also

been taking the required probiotics, vit D3, multi vit, vit c, ubiquinol (co-enz

QH). She also developed asthma  last fall and is on flovent (cortisone) inhaler

daily.

Thank you,

Aviva

Hi Aviva,

My name is Sonya. I am not on the Buhner protocol, but somehow I joined this

group when I found out I had lyme & I like reading what pops up.

Today you mention Tindamax. My LLMD also just put me on Tinidazole (same drug)

for 2 consecutive days a week. For one week about of the month as a cyst buster.

I am allergic to Flagyl (metronidazole). I have read that the Tinidazole is

better tolerated than flagyl & may work better. :). Good news!

I was just wondering if maybe we could stay in touch on how it is tolerated by

your daughter, etc. I have been on Bicillin LA injections twice a week since Nov

7th & it worked wonders but I've hit a plateau & it's time to change things up.

Starting IV Rocephin & a bunch of others in a few weeks. I'm scared!

I am so sorry your daughter has this. Good news is that she is young & her body

will heal. I have faith that we can all recover. I hear about people getting

better all the time.

Where are you guys located? I'm in Southern California.

My husband and I are doing some of Buhner's core recommendations and

antibiotics (Doxy/Minocycline/Flagyl) and

they work very well together.

Judie,

It makes me feel more secure knowing that others are also doing both.

My daughter is currently on Zithromax and rifampin (soon to start

Tindamax). She hasn't had any adverse reactions since starting Buhner

last week.

Best
