is buhner protocol ok if one also has autoimmune disease?

I first tested positive for Lyme about five years ago, and I suspect I had it

for maybe 10 years before that. I made an initial stab at treating it with

resveratrol, but it worsened my already chronic diarrhea, so I stopped

immediately. My gastrointestinal tract has improved recently, so I decided to

give it another try. I picked up buhner's book again and have begun to reread

it. I notice that andrographis has the tendency to constipate--which would

actually be a welcome side effect for me. My instinct now is to start with the

Andro and see how that goes.

My initial diagnosis back in 93 was autoimmune disease, and I'm wondering now if

it wasn't the spirochete and/or its cohort(s) that triggered the autoimmune

response. So this is my question: is there any conflict with the herbs in the

core protocol for those of us who also have an autoimmune condition? Are there

any contraindications that anyone is aware of?

Thank you!
