Guest guest
Hi Tom, Buhner's book has a protocol for collagenous tissue support I quote: Pregnenolone: 50-200 mg daily Zinc picolinate with copper: 20-30mg daily Silicon (as stabilized orthosilicic acid) 6-20 drops daily DHEA: 15-200 mg daily Alpha Lipoc Acid: 600 mg daily Selenieum: 200 mcg daily Glucosamine sulfate: 500 mg 3x day Vitamin B complex daily, should include B-5, B-12 and folic acid Vitamin C: 1000 - 3000 mg daily Vit. E: 400-800 IU daily I highly recommend getting the book. I haven't taken his core protocol yet because I'm on intensive antibiotics. But I do use most of the above supplements plus eleuthero, which he recommends for energy. I don't want to mix the 2 regimes because it might be difficult to figure out which are effective. Dr. Burrascano's guidelines ('08) are also helpful for supplement suggestions. Easily obtainable for free online Best of luck, Kim in western Mass. [ ] Buhner book, collagen, and testing Hi All, I know I have an infectious illness, and am pretty sure its a spirocyte in all 3 forms. I dont know what it is, but at this point I dont know if it matters to be tested again (did show high levels on Igenex). Its a superbug nonetheless. I have been to a doc here in ATL, and now I have 3 abx(Clarithromycine,Metronidazol, and Doxy) looking at me from my bedside. The idea is to go after it in all 3 forms, and the drugs check out as effective in Rosner's book " Top 10 Lyme Treatment Methods " . But has anyone ever recovered from long term and/or intensive abx? I'm scared that it will make it worse, as I took Cipro years ago and it definitely made the bad bugs worse. With Buhner protocol, does it have to be that I buy his book and them treat myself? I'm not comfortable with that...I could use a doc's help. Any suggestions? Lastly, I know getting rid of infection is the most important thing, but are there any collagen replacement supps that I can take in the meantime while I figure things out. Thx, Tom in Atlanta
