Guest guest
I was finally put on Biaxin along with oral Ceftin after two months on Zithromax only made me feel worse. Has anyone noticed an improvement after being on Biaxin for a while? Ten days on new regime and I'm as fatigued as ever and my nervous system is still tingling, itching, vibrating (has been since going on abx last June). I asked the nurse practitioner at the LLMDs if this meant the spirochetes were still chewing away at my nerves and she said no, it was due to damage (I suspected as a result of horrendous herx that lasted 6 week--too many long hot showers + sauna) which would heal over time. I do hope to find an ND to work with at some point who's familiar with Buhner's protocol etc. Kim [ ] Biofilms There are a lot of posts about biofilms. Some use the enzymes -kinase products. There are several scientific articles that point out the influence of several products on biofilms : Acetylcysteine : the product is cheap and safe, you can freely buy it at your drugstore. Cleary it reduces biofilms. It's prooven for some bacteries, just don't know if it works for Lyme. Anyway, it boosts the immune system. Note that added with the new antibiotics tygecycline it destroys some biofilms. Maybe some hope for us ? 14- members macrolides as Biaxin : a direct effect of low doses of Biaxin are known to destroy biofilms.
