I've been away for a couple weeks and now see that I've missed out many

interesting posts.

I just want to comment on four things:

1.  Iodine --

I started taking Iodoral in July 2009.  After 3 years of chronic body low body

temp from lyme -- i.e., 95.5-96.8F -- within two weeks of being on the iodine,

my  temperature broke 97.0F for the first time.  I have experimented with

different brands and with each of them I have managed to keep my temp between

97.0 and 98.0 since July.  It's amazing what a difference being closer to

" normal " makes one feel.

The three brands of iodine I have tried are

ProThera Iodine Complex (has 3 forms, and I like it best, no bad

binders/fillers), Iodoral, and Biotics Research Iodizyme (which my teen daughter

also takes).

2.  Water filters --

We spent about $1,600-1,800 on whole house and point-of-use filters in June,

only to learn recently that the only type of filter that will remove certain

heavy metals and also radioactives is Reverse Osmosis.

We did a complete water panel (about 90 elements tested, we did add-ons for

radioactives)

to see what our expensive filters were missing, and uranium and thallium were

present in the sample, which coincides with my daughter and I having high urine

levels of both (Doctor's Data urine toxic metals test).

So now we're buying RO water at Whole Foods ($0.40/gallon) for drinking while we

save up for our own RO filter.

3.  Hyaluronic acid --

I started taking hyaluronic acid in the form of Hyalogics Synthovial 7

(http://www.hyalogic.com/) in late September.  I noticed an improvement in my

joint pain after about two weeks.  My right hip has been excruciating for the

past 1.5 years (lesser pain in other hip and in knees), and after starting the

hyaluronic acid, I was able to walk much more easily, although my joints would

still freeze up if I sat for any length of time.  Last month the effect of the

oral supplement started to diminish some, so my doctor wants to revisit the

injection idea.

4.  Glutathione --

I get 10cc vials of glutathione from Wellness Pharmacy (prescription).  I find

it most useful as an injection (diluted in 0.9% sterile saline), but have also

nebulized it and made my own nasal spray, both of which help me (especially with

my severe MCS).  I'm told it can be done in the neti pot also, but it's so

expensive, I haven't tried that yet.  I seem to do best with daily IV

administration, because it doesn't last in the body very long.

Wishing everyone healing in 2010~ arlene
